Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Sartano, including the Sartano mobile app, sartano.app, support pages, account tools, content, AI styling features, subscriptions, retailer and affiliate links, marketing communications, and related services (together, the "Service"). Sartano is operated by Gloco Group Pty Ltd (ABN 54 696 251 304), an Australian company ("Sartano", "we", "us" or "our"). Our postal address for notices is Suite 255, 17 High Street, Berwick VIC 3806, Australia.
By using the Service, creating an account, continuing as a guest, starting a trial, buying a subscription, or clicking retailer links, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service
Sartano helps users discover fashion products and outfits across retailers. The app may include swipe-based product feeds, AI chat, manual filters, shopping profiles, saved items, saved Looks, generated outfits, price-drop alerts, affiliate retailer links, sponsored placements, advertising, and Sartano+ subscription features.
We may add, remove, suspend, limit, update, or change features at any time. We may also restrict access where needed for security, maintenance, abuse prevention, legal compliance, store-policy compliance, or product reasons.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to use Sartano. If you are under 16, you must not create an account, continue as a guest, or use the Service. You are responsible for your account, device, sign-in credentials, and all activity under your account.
Sartano supports email/password, Apple, Google, and anonymous or guest sign-in where available. Guest access may be limited and may not preserve all features if you delete the app, change devices, or later create an account.
You must provide accurate information and keep it current. Do not use another person's account, impersonate anyone, attempt to bypass authentication, or interfere with another user's account.
Shopping profiles and information you enter
You may create shopping profiles for yourself or for shopping contexts such as gifts or other people. You are responsible for having any permission needed to enter another person's preferences. Do not enter sensitive information that is not needed for fashion recommendations.
Broad selectors such as "kids" or "under 20" are used as shopping context filters. They are not intended to create child accounts or to collect child contact details.
AI styling and recommendations
Sartano uses automated and AI-assisted systems to parse requests, apply filters, rank products, learn from swipes, and generate outfits. Recommendations are provided for general fashion discovery and convenience only. They are not professional advice and may be incomplete, unsuitable, unavailable, delayed, or wrong.
You are responsible for deciding whether a product, outfit, price, size, retailer, shipping option, or purchase is right for you. Product information can change quickly and may be provided by retailers, affiliate feeds, or other third-party sources.
AI chat messages, shopping prompts, shopping profile context, and related preferences may be processed through Sartano's backend systems and AI infrastructure providers, including Google Cloud Vertex AI or Gemini for relevant backend AI features. Do not submit sensitive personal information, confidential information, or information about another person unless it is lawful and necessary for the feature.
Retailers, affiliate links, and purchases of physical goods
Sartano is not the seller of retailer products shown in the app unless we clearly say otherwise. When you tap a retailer link, "Buy", "Shop", "Checkout" or similar action, you may leave Sartano and interact with a third-party retailer or affiliate network.
Retailers control their own prices, stock, sizing, shipping, returns, refunds, warranties, product descriptions, promotions, payment processing, taxes, and customer service. Any purchase from a retailer is between you and that retailer. Sartano may receive affiliate fees, referral fees, campaign fees, or other compensation when you click, save, shop, or buy through links in the Service, but affiliate partnerships and commercial campaigns may be active, inactive, limited, or unavailable depending on the product, retailer, market, and time.
Promoted content and advertising
Sartano may include promoted placements, sponsored products, affiliate-ranked products, or third-party ads. These features may be enabled or disabled by market, platform, campaign, or feature flag. We aim to label sponsored or promoted placements clearly where required. Ads and promoted content do not mean Sartano endorses a retailer, product, or claim.
Sartano+ may include an ad-free or reduced-ad experience where described in the app. Some affiliate links, retailer links, or transactional messages may still appear because they are part of the shopping experience rather than display advertising.
Sartano+ subscriptions
Sartano+ is an optional subscription. The features, trial period, price, billing period, renewal terms, and cancellation instructions shown in the app, App Store, Google Play, or RevenueCat paywall form part of these Terms. Storefront prices may vary by country, tax, currency, platform, promotion, and time.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play billing. They renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal deadline set by the relevant store. You can manage or cancel through your Apple ID or Google account subscription settings. Uninstalling Sartano or deleting your Sartano account does not cancel a store subscription.
Purchase, restore, entitlement, and customer-centre features are managed through RevenueCat. If you believe your subscription is not being recognised, use "Restore purchases" or the RevenueCat Customer Center in the app where available, then contact support if the issue continues.
Refunds for App Store or Google Play subscriptions are handled by the relevant store unless the law requires otherwise. Sartano cannot directly refund transactions processed by Apple or Google.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, Sartano may send service notifications, price-drop alerts, subscription or account notices, and other opted-in messages. You can turn notifications off in the app where available or in your device settings. Push notifications are not required for the core app to function.
Email and marketing communications
If you expressly opt in, Sartano may send personalised weekly product picks, style tips, offers, product updates, early-access messages, and similar commercial communications based on your preferences, shopping profiles, swipes, saves, clicks, and recommendation signals. You can unsubscribe using the link in those messages or by contacting us.
We may still send non-marketing service messages, such as account, security, support, password reset, legal, subscription, or transaction notices, where permitted by law.
Your content and feedback
You retain any rights you have in prompts, profile names, feedback, support messages, and other content you submit. You grant Sartano a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, use, reproduce, process, transmit, display, and adapt that content as needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, analyse, and improve the Service.
If you send suggestions, ideas, or feedback, we may use them without compensation or obligation to you.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Service unlawfully, deceptively, harmfully, or in a way that infringes anyone's rights;
- attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, harvest, copy, overload, probe, or disrupt the Service or its data;
- circumvent subscriptions, paywalls, rate limits, authentication, security controls, ads, or entitlement checks;
- upload or submit malicious code, spam, abusive content, misleading information, or content you do not have rights to use;
- use automated tools to create accounts, query feeds, generate outfits, or manipulate ranking, advertising, analytics, or affiliate reporting;
- use Sartano to make purchases or decisions in breach of retailer terms, platform rules, or applicable laws.
Privacy and data
Our collection, use, disclosure, retention, and deletion of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. You can request account deletion in the app or at sartano.app/delete-account.
We may create, use, publish, commercialise, or share aggregated or de-identified insights derived from use of the Service, including insights about shopping trends, product interest, style preferences, price sensitivity, retailer/category performance, and Service usage. These insights are not intended to identify you personally and are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
Account deletion and termination
You may stop using Sartano at any time. You may delete your account in the app or request deletion from the website. Deleting an account removes account-linked backend data as described in the Privacy Policy, but it does not cancel App Store or Google Play subscriptions.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if we reasonably believe you breached these Terms, created risk for other users or the Service, misused subscriptions or promotions, infringed rights, or if we must do so for legal, security, operational, or platform-policy reasons.
Intellectual property
Sartano, including its branding, design, software, source code, ranking systems, recommendation systems, data structures, text, graphics, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial fashion discovery in accordance with these Terms.
Retailer product images, names, marks, descriptions, and links belong to their respective owners or licensors.
Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party platforms and services including Apple, Google, Firebase, Google Cloud, Vertex AI/Gemini, RevenueCat, Vercel, Tally, retailers, affiliate networks, analytics providers, ad networks, marketing email providers, and support tooling. Their terms and policies may also apply to your use of those features. We are not responsible for third-party services, outages, pricing, policies, content, products, fulfilment, or data practices.
Availability, accuracy, and changes
We try to keep Sartano useful and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, perfect recommendations, current retailer stock, exact prices, successful affiliate links, or continued availability of any feature.
We may release updates that modify, add, or remove features. Some features may depend on network access, device compatibility, app-store availability, backend systems, retailer feeds, third-party SDKs, or regional support.
Consumer guarantees and liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, remedy, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified, including under the Australian Consumer Law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sartano is provided "as is" and "as available". We exclude all warranties, representations, and guarantees not expressly stated in these Terms. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, punitive, loss-of-profit, loss-of-data, lost-opportunity, or retailer-related losses arising from or connected with the Service.
Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited, at our option, to resupplying the relevant service or paying the cost of resupplying it.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Sartano against losses, claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Service, breach of these Terms, infringement of third-party rights, unlawful conduct, or content you submit.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as through the app, website, or email where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You and Sartano submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and the Commonwealth courts of Australia.
